Due to the actual events in Iran Revolution after the murder of Zhina (Mahsa) Amini in 2022 , this performance is dedicated to the 40 days of mourning, as it is an important ritual in iranian culture , and as a mythical reflection on the fight for Jin, Jiyan, Azadî / Zan, Zendegi, Azadi (Women, Life, Freedom). There are four numbers on the visual moving images in the performance: ١ , ۳ , ۷ , and ۴۰ (1, 3, 7, and 40).

Traditionally, the dead in Iran are commemorated on the first, the third, seventh and fortieth day.
For this reason, events became particularly large, emotional, and radical. Ali and Shabnam were connected from London in (nearly) realtime to our performance space in Cologne, sharing sound and raw data. They controlled interactively the generative visuals, lasers and eurorack effects chains. Shabnam's poems with strong statements cut through the void to deliver the message they have as Iranians living in diaspora: We will not stop until this revolution will become true!

Thanks to the funding that they got from NEUSTART Kultur and BBK Bundesverband, we could achieve to establish a first prototype of our virtual performance space, that we later realized with the help of the Koproduktionslabor Dortmund.
